How to translate an earthworm, published by Dhauli Books in 2018, is a collection of 101 contemporary poems in Malayalam translated into English. The book was edited by Ra Sh (Ravi Shanker N), Indian English poet, who had also translated most of the poems. This book gave readers not familiar with Malayalam literature an understanding of three generations of poets writing still in Malayalam, also showcasing the youngest of them. It is a rare collection that shows the most modern to postmodern ways in which the poets in Malayalam are currently writing. It featured upto 37 women poets and 7 Dalit/Tribal poets.
Ra Sh (Ravi Shanker N) has published three collections of poetry, Architecture of Flesh, The Bullet Train and other loaded poems and Kintsugi by Hadni . Also published poems in many national and international, online and print magazines. Poems have been translated into German and French. Co-translated Sri Lankan Tamil poems in a collection Waking is another Dream and a collection of Malayalam Dalit stories Don’t want caste.
